DESCRIPTION:Cindy’s Angels – the annual angel tree service project that grants holiday wishes to needy children\, teens and seniors – has returned to St. James. Trees adorned with angels have just been placed in each clubhouse foyer through Tuesday (11/21). Each angel has a tag with a special request from a child or senior or is marked “cash donation.” All are invited to choose an angel and follow the directions on the tag in order to grant a wish. Presented by Brunswick Little Theatre actors and the St. James Service Club (SJSC)\, this promises to be a delightful evening of food\, fun\, and…murder! Two nights of mayhem will be held at Members Club on Friday (7/28) and Saturday (7/29) from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Tickets are $50.00 (include dinner) and will be sold from 9:30 – 10:00 AM before the SJSC General Membership meeting on Wednesday (6/14) and on Friday (6/16) from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the St. James Community Center. Cash or check only. When purchasing tickets\, you will need to tell us which date\, dinner and dessert choice you have selected for your ticket. Menu options are below. \nMeal options (choose 1): pan roasted cod with white wine butter; herb crusted salmon with tomato dill butter; French cut apricot glazed chicken with bourbon butter served; or chicken franchise with white wine butter. SUMMARY:St James Military Appreciation Day (SJMAD) Fund Raising Underway
DESCRIPTION:JAMES MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY FUNDRAISING NOW UNDERWAY \nOn Saturday\, July 8th\, St. James will celebrate its 17th annual St. James Military Appreciation Day (SJMAD) Golf Tournament to recognize the service and sacrifice of our Nation’s military service members – past and present.  The celebration will also include the Patriotic Concert in The Park on Saturday June 10th\, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.  American Legion Post 543 is privileged to host both of these patriotic events. \nProceeds from the SJMAD golf tournament and concert help American Legion Post 543\, a non-profit Veteran service organization\, to continue helping veterans in the local community\, active-duty members\, and local youth initiatives through 70 different programs across southeast Brunswick County. \nThe support from our St James neighbors is needed to make SJMAD a success. Now more than ever\, we are asking for your strong support. Neighborhood Captains (NC’s) are leading fundraising efforts in the neighborhoods and their location is identified by a SJMAD “DONATE HERE” sign.  Please drop off your donations in the Drop Box on your NC’s front porch or one of the following Area Collection Points:  3795 Bancroft Place\, 2988 Sorrento Place\, 2808 Barberry Court\, and 3867 Members Club Blvd. \nEvery neighborhood that raises at least $200 in donations will have a sign with the neighborhood’s name placed on a tee box. Multiple sign equivalents will be recognized with stars of distinction for every $200 in donations.
