Earth Day Presentation

Celebrate St James Earth Day #2 at the St. James Conservancy’s presentation of “Get the Picture: Illustrating Earth’s Weather and Climate.” Ian G. Boatman, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service within the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, will lead this discussion, set for 7:00 PM on Friday (4/21) at the St. James Community Center. The discussion will cover how weather forecasts are put together, Doppler Radar, warming oceans, and the frequency and severity of storms, with an emphasis on hurricanes.
